Well, Orlando inland, find a beach hotel here will be very difficult. Try Tradewinds Resort in St. Pete. Very family friendly and the beach is beautiful.

Orlando is in central Florida, not on a coast. There are great places I stayed and Sheridan Vistana is two minutes from the resort of Disney World and Universal Studios 15 minutes.

If you have the beach to Miami, Tampa, New Symerna transferred (nice about 1 hour or more Orlando Orlando are), but not clean beaches.
If you have to find fun for kids, Nickelodeon is the largest hotel slides, pools, cafes, arcades and other entertainment facilities for children. It depends on the age of the children.
Of course you can always resort to Disney, stay out of his well and has all the potential benefits for the whole family.
I'm going to Orlando each year, now about 9 years, I like to enjoy their holidays.

As already mentioned, Orlando is not on the coast, so there are no hotels directly on the beach. Some pseudo artificial lakes have beaches are (really beautiful Polynesian, Grand Florida, Contemporary). There are tons of Disney-owned hotels, the different groups and have numerous recreational activities.

I recommend this site (like me for everything Disney):

They have a lot of information, photos, etc. in any Disney hotel.
